Many are waiting in vain for some kind of saviour to take them out of their current misery, their current predicament, their current drama.
Most will be waiting for a very long time.
In fact, a life can come and go in the blink of an eye, whilst waiting for things to become better, whilst waiting to be saved... and all the while, having no clear picture of what being saved, looks like.
Abdicating personal responsibility to others, absolves us of freedom, absolves us from taking the right actions towards the lake of clarity.
Buddha says;
Be your own island. Be your own sanctuary.
Paraphrasing; be the person you depend on to get things done, to get what you want. No-one else is coming to do it for you, to lift you from the gloom of life.
The cavalry isn't coming. The government isn't coming. Your relatives aren't coming to dissolve the misery, to give you the salvation you seek.
You may get a temporary lift. But it's just that. Temporary.
REAL power comes in not waiting to make your life better.. in not depending on others to make your day a happy one. But, in you MAKING things happen.. in taking an action, and then another, and then another... towards your desired outcome.
How much more productive would you be in your life if you searched, found the answers to your own personal conundrum, if you acted, instead of wishing, waiting, hoping and praying for salvation by osmosis or via the Salvation of others?
Don't wait in vain.
Take gainful ACTIONS.
That's what having a Buddha mind, is all about.
It's about YOU becoming your own saviour so you can then inspire others to, be the same.
